What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is a dermal filler that plumps and fills up the skin.
Unlike hyaluronic gels, like Juvederm and Restylane, Radiesse is not a gel but a particulate stimulant. Radiesse comprises tiny, microscopic particles of calcium hydroxyapatite dissolved in a suspension. These little particles act as a “biological stimulant” for your body to make collagen around the particles, and this collagen plumps up and smooths wrinkles.
The procedure is ideal for those who experience deflation and sagging in the facial area.
By providing collagen and structural volume to the sunken regions of the space, a Radiesse treatment restores the skin’s elasticity, smoothes wrinkle lines, and instills a glowing, youthful appearance.
Who is a Radiesse Candidate?
There is no particular age restriction for Radiesse treatment, and no specific trait defines a “good” candidate.
Fundamentally, suitable candidates are patients who want to increase their facial volume by undergoing a minimally invasive procedure.
However, as is the case with most cosmetic procedures, eligible candidates should have logical expectations concerning the risks and benefits of the procedure.
How long is the treatment?
The timing of the procedure depends on the desired outcome of the patient. However, on average, Radiesse treatments take 30 – 45 minutes to complete.
